Richard Chase Palamar, President and Founder
Rick has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate development arena. He began in the appraisal field, rising to the position of partner with Rogers and Taylor appraisers in New York. He later relocated to North Carolina for the role of vice-president with Barnett Properties, a regional development firm. Rick established Chase Development Company in 1985, and is responsible for overseeing the acquisition, renovation and development of new projects for the company.
Rick is a long-term member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and is active in his community of Henderson, North Carolina, where he has served in leadership roles with The Church of the Holy Innocents, the local private school, Kerr-Vance Academy, and the Henderson Family YMCA. He is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, where he majored in economics.
John H. Palamar, Executive Vice-president
John joined Chase Development in 2011, after five years working as a leasing agent for BPG Management Company, where he shared responsibility for marketing and leasing a 4.5 million-square-foot industrial, flex and office portfolio.
At Chase Development, John is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, including leasing and property management, as well as being responsible for evaluating, negotiating and acquiring new properties and development sites.
John is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds a real estate broker’s license in North Carolina and Georgia. He is a cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he majored in communications and minored in Latin American studies and Spanish.
